Why is Minor Mogul not on social media?

Because social media is shit. What once seemed like a good idea — connecting people based on friendship and / or shared interests — has been so enshittified as to be unusable. It is literally not worth the time to participate. If you see posts on social media allegedly by “Minor Mogul”, they don’t come from here.

A couple of specific examples:

• BlueSky insists on showing obese-furry porn. No amount of muting or blocking or “Show less content like this” stems the flood; indeed, it seems to increase it. Brief research shows that this is a common complaint, especially for new users. This content is not relevant (or even interesting) to people who are not obese-furry fetishists; all it does is drown out possibly-interesting things, to the extent that the platform is unusable. Unless you’re an obese-furry fetishist, I guess.
• Facebook has been enshittified for a decade (since 2017, to be specific). It shows more ads than posts, and it doesn’t actually show your posts to all the people who sign up to read your posts, making it useless for what it promised. But its recent turn to supporting literal lies, outright fascism, and criminal activity makes it unfit for civilized people. I have reported posts that championed outright, in-so-many words anti-semitism or offered for sale weapons that are prohibited by the Criminal Code of Canada. Facebook informed me that these posts do not violate their Community Standards and will continue to be shown. What kind of Community has Standards like this — the Manson Family? The Nazi Party?
• Twitter / “X” (AKA “Xitter”, with the “X” pronounced “Sh”) deliberately and willfully promotes every bigotry ever invented (I suppose we can be grateful that at least its users don’t have the intelligence or imagination to create new ones), often by the simple tactic of posting just plain lies. It defends and champions Nazis, racists, misogynists, rapists, pedophiles, and more disgraces to humanity than a good person could imagine.

No. Not only are you asking in the completely wrong place, nobody who has this information will ever give it to you. Think about what you’re asking: You want someone to risk their credibility with their contacts on behalf of a stranger they don’t know and whose work they don’t know. There are good reasons that this information is so closely-guarded, and they have nothing to do with keeping you down. Seriously, give your head a shake.
